Driveway Drinks: Ultimate Beermosa

So, I know I'm not alone when the weekend hits and a breakfast cocktail comes calling. Of course there are screwdrivers, bloody mary's and mimosas....but have you had a beermosa? It's time you did.
A beermosa is exactly what you think it is. Swapping out your sparkling wine for the brew of your choice--BOOM. Beermosa. Sure, you can mix your store brand OJ with a bud light if you want. I drank more than my fare share of $4 bottles of Andre with a splash of OJ in college, but if you really wanna go big. Try this one.

Obviously fresh squeezed OJ makes a huge difference. No matter what. I opted for hopefully not the last (but maybe the last) of the cara cara oranges at the store. They're large, they're incredibly juicy, and their rosy interior makes for an eye popping juice. For the beer? Well...I'm not gonna act like this week's Driveway Drink DOESNT fall on 4/20-- so I opted for Abita's Triple Haze. A nod to the song, the strain, and the color of the beer-- this special edition of their classic raspberry infused Purple Haze packs a punch at 8% abv. Perfect for a little OJ dilution, and the perfect start to a lazy weekend morning.

Ultimate Beermosa

Fill a pint class 2/3 full with beer of your choice. Top with fresh squeezed OJ, a late breakfast, and soft pants ALL DAY.
